Community Outreach

The community of Marlborough is a culturally diverse neighbourhood within Calgary.  There are many new Canadians trying to adjust to life in a new city.   We hope to shine God’s light to our neighbours as we serve Him in Marlborough.

We have been given a rich opportunity to live out Isaiah 58:6-7:

“This is the kind of fasting I want:
Free those who are wrongly imprisoned;
    lighten the burden of those who work for you.
Let the oppressed go free,
    and remove the chains that bind people.

Share your food with the hungry,
    and give shelter to the homeless.
Give clothes to those who need them,
    and do not hide from relatives who need your help.

Feed the Hungry Lunch at 11:30 on Wednesdays.

Brown Bag Lunches that we make and deliver to two community schools.

Clothing Giveaway twice a year.  Next one is April 22 and you can fill out a pledge form on our SignUp Page.

Serve Day, a chance to serve our neighbours in our community.  Typically happens in June.

Stampede Breakfast happens in July on the first Sunday of Stampede.

FriendSpeak is our simple ESL program that happens year round.  If you know of someone (maybe yourself) who could use some help practicing English, please contact us.
